The Mahakaruna Foundation's director is Jigme Tromge Rinpoche, son of the late H.E. Chagdud Rinpoche. Jigme Rinpoche is resident lama of Chagdud Gonpa Ati Ling in California, and director of the Padmasambhava Peace Institute.

Lama Thubten (Andy Johnston) is treasurer for the Foundation.
